Nike SB Janoski Mid Crafted Shoes
In celebration of ten years of the signature Nike SB Stefan Janoski model, the start of 2019 introduces a new silhouette inspired by a blend of footwear styles, resulting in an unexpected and eye-catching design.
Seen here with a blacked out upper which is crafted from textural hairy suede with a hand stitched puckered toe detail which leads into a shaped overlay panel bearing an embossed Nike Swoosh tick. Adding to the natural aesthetic, leather laces sit upon the flexible tongue which includes signature Nike SB x Janoski branding. The mid-top silhouette sits securely around the ankle whilst an unusual cork sockliner supplies responsive cushioning thanks to a Nike Air unit. In terms of performance, vulcanised construction has been used to bond the rubber outsole with the uppers and includes an additional panel along the front of the toes, which results in greater boardfeel, and flexibility whilst also aiding a consistent flick. In addition to this, specific areas have been thinned to ensure a flexible and lightweight feel is achieved.
The first of many significant releases, this spring release of the Nike SB Janoski Mid Crafted Shoes are based around the theme of ‘Origins’ and draw influence from Stefan Janoski’s love for hand craftsmanship. Furthering this, this year celebrates the ten year anniversary and will include a selection of collaborative styles that look to different chapters within the pro skaters life, which has inspired material selection and silhouette design.
